can't access tty error due to missing ide driver
A partition and disk imaging/cloning program

I've got an Asus P5K-SE motherboard with an integrated Marvell ATA controller for handling my IDE DVD drive.
When I boot the livecd, it can't seem to see the dvd drive and fails with the following error: "Can't access tty; Job control turned off"
A quick check of /dev shows that the dvd drive is not present, and no there is no module in /lib/modules for the marvell controller.

Maybe give the experimental clonezilla live a try:
http://free.nchc.org.tw/clonezilla-live/experimental/ubuntu-based/
It comes with newer kernel (now 2.6.26)
