In testing it works but it is not as convenient as it was before.
choose keep US oder select keyboard
select some keyboard (dont know which one so i took som random, because mine was not in the list)
then select other because nooo i dont want english layout
select german
select german another time (this time the selected one is other and i have to scroll to top)
select default layout or some special alt-gr stuff
select if compose key is wanted
now i can start whith what i initially want to do with clonezilla
7 Steps for basic "quertz" layout. Is it not possible to make this a little bit easier or simpler?
Would it be possible to add basic qwertz layout to step 1 and everyone who want something more accurate can dive thru all the steps? Would be much more convenient to me.

Yes, I knew keyboard-configuration is more complicated. That's why we add "keep" for the US keymap.
