Renaming live image extension to .tar when using tar.
A partition and disk imaging/cloning program

I am using stable - 2.4.5-23 to create recovery-iso-zip to be put on a rescue Usb stick.
My image is about 7Gb. During the creation process of the live zip, there is a warning saying that the image file is more than 2GB and is switching to "tar" format. But this message appear for less than 1s (I had to my personal camera and high speed shooting the PC screen in order to capture that message). And the final file is a .zip file which is very confusing.
I would like to suggest to :
- Pause and let the user acknowledge the message (switching to tar) before continuing.
- Rename the extension to .tar as the file format is .tar
Thanks for the bugs report. They will be fixed in the next testing release.
Steven
Fixed in Clonezilla 3.21.12.

Stupid question but : how do I get version 3.x ? On the website http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php I can see only 2.4.x versions and timestamp version ...
Oh, what I meant was clonezilla package, (deb, rpm), not Clonezilla live.
Tomorrow we will release another testing Clonezilla live, and it will include this bug fixed version of clonezilla deb.
If you really want to check the clonezilla deb, here you are:
