#203 clonezila live cd can't boot on my hp computer

Hello,

I would like to backup my HP Compaq 6830s Notebook PC laptop (windows vista 32 bit) with the clonezila 32 bit live cd.

When I try to boot this machine with the clonezila live cd 32 bit, the hp logo is shown and stay fix.. (see attachement)

This machine boots normaly whith the knoppix live cd and ubuntu 11.10

Could you please help me to fix this bug ?

Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?
Did you try the latest one, including testing release?

Hello,

I'm sorry but I have forgotton to indicate my clonezila version.
I have tried 2 versions.

1. stable releases - 2.2.3-10 32 bit
2. 20140527-trusty 32 bit

but I had the same problem.

Could you help me please ?

How about "20140527-utopic"?

It comes with Linux kernel 3.15 so the results might be different.

Thanks for your message but sorry it's don't work yet on my hp laptop but it work on an other.

On my hp laptop I get alleyway the same result (hp logo fix see the first message attachment)

Could you fix this bug ?

It might be the BIOS issue. Did you upgrade the firmware of your BIOS?
