-recover fails on AMD64 1.2.6.59
A partition and disk imaging/cloning program

I'm running Ubuntu Maverick
I have a disk with quite a few sector errors and I'm running with -recover. When the first (error) sector is encountered, various messages are displayed (sorry, don't have screen shots or listings), but the messages are related to I/O errors and the inability to relocate the sector. It then continues to report the same error (ie. it loops) until I exit
Our of desperation, I tried an older version of clonezilla (20110131-maverick), and that version continues after the encountering the first error, it reports a bunch of other faulty sectors and eventually completes.
So did you try Clonezilla live 1.2.8-48 i686? Same problem?
The only Live version I tried was AMD64 1.2.6.59
OK, that is an old version. Next time if you have a chance to use it again, please use the latest one.
Thanks.
Steven.
I've downloaded the latest version, but have now replaced the faulty disk.
Thanks for your help
No problem. If you have a chance to reproduce the problem (better not to have such a chance :)), please let us know.
Thanks.
Steven.
