The patch attached to this message serves to fix a problem in the
lambda-list defined onto MK4::RUN-OS-PROGRAM
In the original form, keyword arguments on the defgeneric lambda list had
been given initform values; the resulting lambda-list was not syntactically
In this patch, the defgeneric lambda-list for RUN-OS-PROGRAM is modified, so
as to not be given initforms on the keyword arguments.
Additionally, I've added a comment, in the code, in a note made towards
specialization of the function.
Namely: Some hosts (perhaps only those on Microsoft architectures, though I
am not aware of the semantics on elder Mac boxes, here) some hosts (I had
denoted, in the patch, Microsoft hosts) will not support a distinction
between OUTPUT and ERROR-OUTPUT streams.
In addition, this patch includes some text of the patch made about
the "cltl" file-mode string, in Defsystem 4; that patch was presented, in
full, in a previous email.
It's late,a nd this is the Nth patch I've submitted, in this night.
Before I'd sent the previous message - the message to which this is a
follow-up - I had neglected to attach the text of the patch.
The text of the patch addressed in that message is attached to this message.
Though this may bear a more distinct addressing: I've a user account at
sourceforge - user-name schamp; I would like to propose if I would be added
as a developer onto the clocc project.
