Hi I put up two new FILE RELEASES for MK:DEFSYSTEM and CL-ENVIRONMENT MK:DEFSYSTEM fixes all but one of the outstanding bugs and improves on - pathname-less operation - dependency handling - interoperability CL-ENVIRONMENT adds functionality and support for newer CLs. Its main use it that of a library for runtime check of the environment. Think a SOFTWARE-VERSION, MACHINE-TYPE, etc etc library on steroids. (Plus a number of things like directory handling etc etc) Enjoy marco -- Marco Antoniotti http://bioinformatics.nyu.edu NYU Courant Bioinformatics Group tel. +1 - 212 - 998 3488 715 Broadway 10th FL fax. +1 - 212 - 998 3484 New York, NY, 10003, U.S.A. |

Hi as I promised, I added a UNION-FIND implementation to the CLOCC. You can find it and play with it in the clocc/src/ext/union-find directory. The code is released under the (L)GPL. Spanning trees algorithms will be easier to implement now :) There isn't much documentation (apart from the doc strings) but I believe it is already usable along with CLR or the LEDA book (BTW. the CL implementation is really much cleaner than the C++ one :) ). Enjoy. -- Marco Antoniotti ============================================================= NYU Bioinformatics Group tel. +1 - 212 - 998 3488 719 Broadway 12th Floor fax +1 - 212 - 995 4122 New York, NY 10003, USA http://galt.mrl.nyu.edu/valis Like DNA, such a language [Lisp] does not go out of style. Hello I am happy to announce the availability of the CL-CONFIGURATION package: an 'autoconf' for Common Lisp. The package is available for download at Sourceforge as a File Module in the CLOCC area. The package depends on CL-ENVIRONMENT (but not on MK:DEFSYSTEM or other parts of the CLOCC). The package provides a way to specify system, os, and implementation dependencies in a unified way. As a minimum it can be used to set up logical pathnames in an easier way. It can also be used to automatically load different "systems" defined with different "DEFSYS" utilities (and if it cannot yet, support for other "DEFSYS" can be easily added). Please download it and play with it. If you don't like the design and or the implementation please contribute suggestions and changes. Cheers -- Marco Antoniotti ============================================================= NYU Bioinformatics Group tel. +1 - 212 - 998 3488 719 Broadway 12th Floor fax +1 - 212 - 995 4122 New York, NY 10003, USA http://galt.mrl.nyu.edu/valis Like DNA, such a language [Lisp] does not go out of style. Apoligies if you see this message too many times. Hi, this is the first public release of the CL-ENVIROMENT package version 0.1. The package is available as a "File Module" in the CLOCC project at http://www.sourceforge.net. You should be able to download it from the directory http://download.sourceforge.net/clocc Here is the README file ============================================================================== CL.ENVIRONMENT 0.1 This package contains a set of definitions whose intent is to facilitate the management of system dependencies. In particular, many little bits and pieces of information, which are usually represented as strings or features in a Common Lisp implementation, are now represented as (singleton) class instances. The idea being that now it should be "easier" to write more portable code, by using a standardized interface. The inspiration for this work is in the Sonya Keene's book on CLOS. The system has been tested on CMUCL 18b Allegro CL Lite 5.01 Windows Lispworks Personal Edition 4.1 Windows Please see the files INSTALLATION and COPYRIGHT for more information. The package is currently released under the LGPL and all the files should be considered to include such Copyright notice. 2000-06-19 Marco Antoniotti ============================================================================== One is glad to be of help.
