I did this and the error disappeared. And then to see if the debug option caused the tests to pass, I tried without the --with-debug option again, and the tests still passed. (I know I used exactly the same configure options as before because I copy-and-pasted the configure line from the previous build.) Do you know why this would have occurred? Is there some sort of cleaning I need to do between builds that I forgot to do? (All I did was build in different directories each time.)
