If it helps, I'm running CLISP just fine on 64-bit Linux, Debian
"etch" 2.6 kernel. Processor is Intel Core 2 Duo (amd64). Works

It may help to post the message of the actual load error that occurs,
or how to discover more detail of the problem. I'm surprised it would
not work on OpenBSD if it works on Linux(?).
