This is from clisp on x86 (linux, RedHat 9) built from
anoncvs head at around 6:30 PM CST, 11 Dec 2003.

This bug sometimes manifests itself as a segmentation
violation that terminates clisp. In the gcl random
tester, this happens after fewer than 100 trials
(typically).

thank you for your bug report.
the bug has been fixed in the CVS tree.
you can either wait for the next release (recommended)
or check out the current CVS tree (see http://clisp.cons.org\)
and build CLISP from the sources (be advised that between
releases the CVS tree is very unstable and may not even build
    on your platform).
