Is there information on the mechanics of adding functionality or extending COOL?
2) Is there a tar file of CLIPS source code for Solaris 10? It seems like there should be a more efficient way than to try to download all the files from the SVN repository. Will the files in the x_window_system folder work with Solaris? How about with Linux/Ubuntu?
Thanks in advance.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
There's no a specific version of CLIPS for Solaris. The core source code should compile on any machine with an ANSI C compiler. Download it from here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=215471&package_id=260062. For CLIPS 6.24, grab clips_core_source_624.tar.Z. The X Windows code hasn't been extensively tested on multiple platforms, so I can't say whether it will work with Solaris or Ubuntu.

The Architecture Manual contains some information about the internal workings of COOL: http://clipsrules.sourceforge.net/documentation/other/arch5-1.pdf.
