I love CLIPS and want to keep using it. I have a function that gets many (in the thousands) of instances from memory and does something to them. Currently, the process is taking too long. If I could spawn multiple threads from CLIPS I would process the instances in groups of one hundred by multiple threads and that would work perfectly. But CLIPS is not multi-threaded so I have to do something else. One solution brought to my attention is to use JESS. I would prefer to keep using CLIPS. Any suggestions? I realize that rewriting my algorithms to be smarter would be a big help and I will keep trying that but I have done it somewhat already and I still have the problem.
If you haven't already, you might try running it with version 6.3 of CLIPS and see if you get any performance improvement.
