I just noticed that the periodic polling functionality has been removed
from SERVE-EVENT in SBCL 1.0.6. This is a bit unfortunate as clg depends
on this functionality to handle event asynchronous.
The use of SERVE-EVENT has been disabled when building clg with this
version of SBCL. Thus an explicit Gtk main loop, which will block the
REPL, has to be started. Alternatively clg can be initialized with
threading, but every gtk function called from the REPL then has to be
protected by wrapping it in a GDK:WITH-GLOBAL-LOCK as the Gtk library
isn't thread safe.
I'm also sending this to the sbcl-devel list, in the hope that this
change could be reverted in future releases of SBCL.
