No

Social media support works far better anyway by using plug-ins such as AddThis (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/addthis/ and http://www.addthis.com/\), or Sharedaddy (Included in JetPack: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/ and http://jetpack.me/\).
The only thing ClearLine really need to support is the RSS icon, which there should also be a coloured version of.

    Yes, you are right.
But I think the compatibility with the most popular plugins must be added.
Something like adding a widget area under post title for the plugins or automatic placement of the buttons somewhere. All this should be thought out.

    Comptability is a good argument.
However, a widget area under the post title also sounds like a nice idea. Perhaps dynamically created widget areas instead of fixed configurations is an idea then? At least the top widget area could be an enable/disable configured one.

BTW Sharedaddy and AddThis makes makes buttons above and under each post, so you don't necessarily need a widget, since this makes it possible to share a post without opening it. You can see example on http://rikkes.kragenet.dk/. AddThis has a widget as well.
