What can this program do?
CleanMyFolder is a filemanagement program.
It scans a selected location and returns the folder(s) matching
the criterias selected.
After completed scan you can either move or delete the displayed folder(s) and files.
What is the difference between a fullscan and a specified scan?
The difference between fullscan and specified scan is that a fullscan looks for files regardless of size, date and type.
A specified scan may exclude files since its based on values selected before scan starts.
Also, if a specified scan is run, the option to delete folders is disabled for safety reasons.
Is there a difference between moving folders and moving files?
You can choose between moving a folder or several files.
The difference is that when ur moving folders, you can only move one at a time (but all of the folders content, subfolders and files are moved).
When moving files you can select several files from different folders
and then move them all to a new location.
Is there a difference between deleting folders and deleting files?
You can choose between moving the folder/file(s) to the Recycle Bin or delete the folder/file(s) permanently.
Like with the moving, you can only delete one folder at a time
(but all of the folders content, subfolders and files are deleted).
When deleting files, you can delete several files from different locations.
Is it anything this program not scans for?
Yes.
The program does not scan for hidden or system folders/files.
This is also the reason why the size displayed when running fullscans may be inaccurate from total size shown with Windows Explorer.
