Excited still at trying things here, and wanted to show some code from Class Viewer. And experimenting so sorry if established ways of doing things like showing code where I'm winging it. But code snippet is from ClassViewer.java and assume those curious know how to find it, and find where code bloc is within it, if so desired.

Nice, copied over easily, so not going to fiddle with the quick, copy and paste. First is how Class Viewer handles the new format for Java 8 and beyond, which is nice and compact. And continuing to learn things here and decided to try a screenshot to see how it looks, which shows the top 10 countries for downloads of Class Viewer for last year.

Total downloads for year: 2762

Downloads came from 95 countries according to SourceForge Stats. Top countries in order of downloads are:

US, India, Germany, China, Russia, UK, Netherlands, Korea, Canada, France

Thought it good to note that today makes 12 years since I first put Class Viewer on SourceForge back February 25, 2004.

It's been fun. With a very lightweight app meant as a tool for Java developers hasn't been about lots of development, just a few things here and there. And mainly making sure it keeps working as the Java language continues to develop. Though some things did get lost. Was pleasantly surprised by a burst in downloads after my first blog post here. While I'm not sure exactly how the two things connect certainly will be looking to post more. Regardless realize here is a natural place to talk just the project. Just a quick post now but will maybe be looking to do more substantive ones in the future.

Noticed have the option for a blog here, and thought would give it a try. Currently Class Viewer is on release 5.1.1 and I checked for compatibility with latest Java version which is Java 8.0_73. Seemed ok. If anyone notices something no longer working would like to know! Ok, guess that's enough for a test post and start.
