Is it possible to build in a language file for the Classic Start Menu settings? I can help with translation in some languages.

No, this is not possible at the moment. It is way to much work to make the settings localizable, and that's just the beginning. Then I'll have to obtain translations for every supported language. Those translations will become obsolete every time a setting is added or modified. So until the project matures and the settings stabilize, I'm not going to attempt this.

@ loginvovchyk - what do you mean by "Теперь по завершении установки можно сразу включить Classic Shell"?

I just did the setup program, which, after the installation was not running Classic Shell. So I setup a sophisticated and explained to russian users that the installation program starts Classic Shell.
    :))
When it released the final version of Classic Shell?

WOW, I tried the Russian version and I really liked it! Really thorough translation, including the help files, even the comments in the ini files!
    I have a few questions:
    1) How much time did you spend on it?
    2) What system did you use for the installer?
    3) Do you mind if I include that link on the main page of Classic Shell? If it's OK, what name do you want to use as "author"?

BTW, I don't know when there will be a next version. There are some reported bugs that are tricky to reproduce and will take some time to track down. There are also some small features that I want to see in the next release candidate.

    1. I am professionally engaged in software localization for Russian users. List of translated software is available to me here http://loginvovchyk.philka.ru/news_cats.php?cat_id=6
To locate your application program was used
      Radialix. Download available at http://www.radialix.ru/

    2. To create the installer program was used Advanced Installer. Download available at http://www.advancedinstaller.com/download.хтмл
Localization of Classic Shell took no more than 1 hour. Interface installation drawing in Adobe Photoshop

    3. You can place on your Russian version of the site under the nickname Loginvovchyk

I updated the main page with a link to the Russian translation. Please update to version 1.9.7 when you get the chance because it contains important stability fixes.

Wow, that was fast :) I will update the homepage right away.
BTW, in the next version (2.8.0) I moved all text to string table resources. There should be no need to recompile the code.
Also the installer uses WiX, and the Classic Shell-specific text is in a separate text file.
Hopefully this will make the translation of future versions much easier.

I don't understand - do you want to change the text, the icon, or the location of the start menu settings?

Move the location of the item "Options"

In addition, you must create a shortcut on the Windows Explorer options in the main menu, since many users do not know that you can configure windows explorer

    Oh, I see:
    1) You want to move the "Программь по умолчанию" into the Settings menu? This is possible by editing StartMenuItems.ini. I don't want to do this by default because that's not how the classic start menu worked in all previous versions of Windows.
    2) There are two problems with placing the Classic Explorer settings in the start menu - first, the two components are completely independent, so there is no guarantee that the start menu is installed or the explorer component is installed. There should be no dependency between the two. And second, the explorer settings are not a separate application. They need an Explorer window to work. That makes it very tricky to create a shortcut for it.

I will try to create a shortcut to Explorer settings Windows:)

The latest version 2.8.1 provides easier mechanism for localizing the Settings and all system text. You need to create a simple DLL with the translations and place it in the Classic Shell folder. Please refer to the file BUILDME.txt in the source distribution, particularly section 4B.
