yuk, i've already added a command into "HKRU\Directory\Background" for this purpose, but anyway you need to open another window to do the search, while the old classic search didn't need that.

I'm requesting this again since i dislike the new Windows search feature.
Some alternative search engines were made, but none of them integrates well in explorer:

So, i'd like to request an explorer sidebar that makes use of the native Windows' search feature.

There are so many free alternatives for classic style search. Just create a button on the Classic Explorer toolbar to open any of those programs and search the current location. Like this thread explains: https://sourceforge.net/p/classicshell/discussion/1049755/thread/809d41e1
