It's been mentioned halfway in another FRq but differently - if at all possible, I would like to see the tray changed from the popup behavior to the XP-style "swish", if it is outside the purview of Classic Shell's scope, I would like to see it thrown to the braintrust of the community and any modders

Can you share why you want that or what advantage does the XP style tray have? It's just a different style of presentation, doesn't affect your productivity in any way IMHO. Also, you can drag and drop items in and out of the Windows 7 tray popup. Also, Classic Shell does not deal with the Taskbar currently. There's a project that does though: 7 Taskbar Tweaker.
