ppppllleeease... this is the one thing i really miss from xp-explorer..
its relly messy (and space-consuming) if you must have all explorer-windows WITH navigation-pane (or go thru 5 clicks everytime just to show/hide nav-pane)
Good news. The latest Classic Shell 4.0.6 has a built-in button now to toggle the folder/navigation pane as well as the Details pane and the Preview pane.

I don't think there is a good way to implement such button. A "not-so-good" way can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/classicshell/forums/forum/1049755/topic/3932317
It sends simulated keystrokes to Explorer. However the actual keys will depend on the language of the OS.

In that same thread: http://sourceforge.net/projects/classicshell/forums/forum/1049755/topic/3932317, there is another solution by xpclient. It adds a 'Navigation pane' button to the built-in Explorer toolbar (command bar) without using the keystrokes method.
I have released this button and not this only. If you interested, you can download it from https://www.rapidshare.com/files/2937828776/ExploreViewsManager-1-0-3-26.rar
Description in Russin, but you can run it without parameters and see short help in English also.
