This could either be a feature request or help request.
I want to be able to revert the start menu icon back to how it was in Win 7. The new Win 8 icon looks silly. Looks like fruit instead of windows.
I tried downloading some different icons but I could not find an exact copy of Win 7's nor could I get them to function properly. Using the replace feature in classicshell I would get a icon that had a black box around it (ie no transparency) and it wouldn't dynamically change on mouse over and such.
Is there a way to change the icon so that it behaves properly? I guess I could take screenshots to get the same win 7 one. Not sure how to incorporate the behavior into it properly.
Or could this be added as a feature?
You can get a Windows 7-like start button from many places, for example here: http://www.askvg.com/download-classic-shell-skin-to-get-windows-7-look-like-start-menu-and-start-button-in-windows-8/
It cannot be included in Classic Shell as a feature because I do not own the copyright to that image. Don't want to get sued by Microsoft's lawyers, you know.
Thanks for the link and sorry for the late reply! That skin worked perfectly. :)
