As the title states, I have two monitors. I have been messing around with the settings in Classic Shell, but it seems there is no way to specifically have the start button on the left monitor exclusively, and the system tray on the other.

The System Tray is on whichever monitor I tell Windows is my "Primary Display". And in the CS settings, there is only an option called "Show on All Taskbars", and not a way to say what monitor you specifically want to have the start menu on.

PS I am running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

Thanks a lot for the help!

That's right. You have 3 options - no button, button on the main taskbar, and button on each taskbar.

Adding per-monitor settings is tricky because there is no persistent way to identify monitors. Monitors can be connected and disconnected, taskbars can be moved around.

Similarly, Windows 8 doesn't let you have taskbars on select monitors - it is all or nothing.
