I found the Classic Shell program very gratifying and just what I was looking
for.
What I've noticed after installing, is that the search feature in Win 7 is not
as fast and instant as it was before.
I've even considered that maybe indexing has stopped.
Now when I search for a file I get a totally new window and a bar which gives
you an idea of the progress of the search.
Could someone clarify my doubts?
Arturo

Classic Shell doesn't do anything (on purpose) that will affect the search
performance. If you find proof that Classic Shell is to blame, please let me
know.

Well good news for you. Now the latest public beta version of Classic Shell which is available from the home page has full Windows Search integration, including document search. Try it if you are interested.
