It is somewhat related to on-access-scan, but it would
be good if ClamWin could scan files while the computer
is idle or has little usage. If cpu usage is low, then
scan a file, pause for a sec or even less and scan the
next file. So, it will not cause any noticable slowdown
to the computer.

Another possibility - when computer has been idle for
say 2-3 minutes, start a full scan and when some usage
is detected, pause the scan and next time continue from
that place. This way even more files could be scanned,
without disturbing the user.

And why not mix these two methods.

Another idea (used by an anti-virus package I used years
ago) might be to scan a number of files at start-up. The
package I used would scan 100 files at start-up, so over a
period of time it would scan the whole hard drive. But, by
only scanning 100 files at a time, it didn't impact too
    heavily on using the computer.
