The ability to run the program as a service woud be
fantastic. I could then recommend it to my client
schools who could run it on their servers without
having to remain logged in.

It would also mean that on workstations, the
administrator could enable it an it would run for
everybody.

    As a workaround, it is possible to run ClamWin from the
    command line (see the Advanced section of the manual)
    Therefore, it should be possible to create a batch file to
    run ClamWin and run it via Scheduled Tasks.

    I second that. It would be much easier to make this a
    fulltime app in our environment if the program told Windows
    XP that it was there and the firewall shield did not act as
    though no antivirus was in place. Just a thought.
