I recently had the full install of ClamWin free on my
system.
I encountered a QuickTime MOV file which when opened
caused a number of Internet Explorer popups to appear.
This appeared to signal my computer's doom.
Subsequent to this I noticed that I was unable to
browse the web or perform normal network-related tasks.
I noticed there was an extra "lsass.exe" file in my
process list which I couldn't end task on because of
its privilege level.
Several hours later I did a successful Windows XP
Repair Install, and after a complete virus scan with
Symantec Antivirus 9 Corporate, I encountered an
infected "lsass.exe" file, which reported infection
with the "W32SpyBot.Worm".
ClamWin didn't seem prepared to deal with this route of
infection nor with this particular virus. PLEASE MAKE
IT BETTER.
Thanks.

"Please note that ClamWin Free Antivirus does not include an
on-access real-time scanner, that is, you need to manually
scan a file in order to detect a virus. Microsoft Outlook
Addin, however will delete a virus-infected attachment
automatically."
