-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello Everybody I send this message to both the ClamMail and the ClamWin mail lists, it is actually a simple question which I guess have been asked many times before. Why have two projects who strive to do almost the same, as one project there would be more developers and a bigger possibility of getting the native windows port intergrated into main ClamAV cvs. Also both projects try to do the same thing: Get a complete antivirus solution based on ClamAV. ClamMail already has the mail part and ClamWin has the gui scanning part. Why not make them the same, then you could work together on the on access scanning part, in my experience cygwin is generally slower than noncygwin ports so there might be also be some speed to get there altough I am not sure that is true. Anyway it was just a suggestion I thought might be considered. Personally I would love to say I would like to and have time for helping but unfortunately I don't have right now, I am thinking about looking into making a thunderbird plugin, but I don't know anything about XUL and XBL. Wish I had more time :) Cheers everybody and have a nice day. I suppose is a bug. Anyway I think, anyway, there should be a way of changing the language within the installer, you never know. Maybe you are working abroad and your mother tongue is different from language installed in the OS... Anyway, I will translate the strings into Spanish. I think that will give to the program a plus... Regards, Miguel |

Dear all, I have just donwloaded ClamMail to test it under Windows 2000. Although I am Spanish, at least I would like to have ClamMail in English. I have tried to find the English version (precompiled) with no success. Where is it? Besides, If you want to translate ClamMail into Spanish, I figure out you use any "standard" way for translating the strings...I could help you out. Many thanks Miguel |
