The latest consistent release of CjOS+OSGi is version 1.0.1. This provides a broader collection of Smart API schemes, including iso: for ISO9660-compatible archive files. You can find files and open files in an ISO9660-compatible archive as easily as you open a local file. You can also find files in an archive inside an ISO9660-compatible archive just as easily.
The Java2Xvcl utility enables you to convert a large number of Java source code files to XVCL x-frames. It fixes up the Java source code to be valid XML. It supports a break called "license" at the top of every class-level frame for emitting the right license along with your Java source code.... read more
Well, the latest release of CjOS+OSGi would have been available this morning--if it weren't for trouble with my connection to the Internet. I'll have to travel to an alternate site and upload from there. Breakfast at McDonald's anyone? Anyone?
This release includes a functional version of both Java2Xvcl and WebSource, working inside an OSGi container. And it's not just about the fact that Java2Xvcl and WebSource are running. These utilities have dependencies on other features of CjOS. So, it means that all of the dependencies are working, too!... read more

We started this initiative in July 2013 and are working steadily toward our first official release. Note: It corresponds to revision 705 in our Subversion repository.
As you may know, we have been using Concurrent Versioning System (CVS) for more than a decade. We went through painful reworking of our repository because CVS does not support the "move" operation. We've adopted the Subversion (SVN) repository at sourceforge dot net.
We've elected to use the new ticket system at sourceforge dot net to keep track of issues. For more information, see the Support tab or the Tickets tab.
The CjOS Project is adopting and embracing the OSGi framework as a module system, enabling the use of CjOS components in Eclipse and elsewhere, working toward the ultimate goal of creating an operating system based upon Linux+Java+OSGi.
The CjOS Project is continuing its on-going research into the distributor issues of a Java-based operating system.
This release is a milestone in our push toward a new build process and writing code with the XVCL Processor. It includes Smart API, Smart List, URL-to-Smart API Bridge, XVCL Processor.
