CJAN / News: Recent posts

On the cjan mailing lists: We are continuing to work on the XML that forms the CJAN object model and information exchanges between clients and network nodes. In the works is a licensing API that will convert to and from a licensing class and an RDF XML description; and a metadata API to manipulate CJAN Jar metadata.

Yesterday we released some sample code to demonstrate our concept of a JarDIgest checksum and some sample code that will read and write .ZIP file comments. We are requesting comments on both concepts - please refer to the mailing lists for details of the proposals.

We're currently debating how best to secure Java packages in the CJAN network. If you have experience in Java security, any input would be helpful. Just email us on the <http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=41872> mailing list with your comments.
