I was thinking more of the general case, e.g. 1.23.4 for [1.23 .4] ([1.2 3.4] or [1. 23.4] are also possible, but the choice is arbitrary). Having said that this is really minor and probably not very useful, but I just thought I'd make a ticket anyway.
