Project Created

I've created a CiteULike project on SourceForge with the goal of splitting out the "plugin" part of CiteULike and making it open source.

If you've used the site, you'll probably know that it's able to parse citation details (author, journal name, page number, etc) from the publisher's web site and use these to create a bibliographic record for your article in your library.

There's a lot of work going on behind the scenes to do this, and the software isn't necessarily specific to CiteULike. So, I'd like to open it up to user contributions (if there's a journal which CiteULike doesn't support, now's your chance to remedy that). Although CiteULike will probably be the biggest user of the software created by this project, I expect a generic library to parse citation information from publishers' websites will be useful to others too.
