Version: CiteSpace 7.0.R0 (64-bit) Advanced
Installed on: MacBook Air M3, 2024 macOS Tahoe 26.5
Project: Demo 1: Terrorism (1996-2003) with default setting
Issue: In Visualisation, the mouse cursor is offset. The cursor needs to be at the bottom right of a node to be able to drag it and none of the items in the right-click menu works (i.e., menu disappears upon left click and nothing happens). The offset is so severe that it is impossible to estimate it.
Attempts so far: checked Display Scaling is at default, not connected to any external monitor, "shake mouse pointer to locate" disabled, software rendering by terminal command "JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS="-Dprism.order=sw" ./CiteSpace".
None of the attempted solution made any difference to the issue.
Version: CiteSpace 6.4.R2
Installed on: same
Project: Demo 1: same
Issue: same except that the right-click menu seems to work. Cursor offset still severe such that it is un-usable.
Additional issue: Welcome page opens blank except the "English button" on top right. The "Agree" button only appears if mouse cursor hover over its position.
Attempt so far: tried opening with terminal command "JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS="-Dprism.order=sw -Djavafx.platform=Desktop -Dsun.java2d.uiScale=1" ./CiteSpace". Issue persists.
Attached photos showing the offset between cursor and the selected node (photo "dragged" shows the selected node better as it is dragged away from the other nodes).
Suspect issue with Mac version of CiteSpace only. Unable to try Windows version as the license is already activated on Mac and non-transferable.
