    Dear Mr. Chen,

I'm struggeling to connect CiteSpace to MySQL on Windwos 10 using CiteSpace 5.8.R3 (65-bit) and MySQL 5.6.14 (Server 5.6. and Workbench 6.0 CE). Here are the steps I've followed to setup the connection:

    1) Use mysql-installer-community-5.6.14.0.msi to Install MySQL Server 5.6 and Workbench 6.0 CE)
    2) Followed the steps mentioned at https://rizzoma.com/topic/fc65fa676facbe3892ff3b1e0b92fdf8/0_b_aate_9cgd1/
    3) Created a User in the Installation Interface
    4) Set the Username and pw in the .citespace folder in the file mysql.ini
    5) Checked the server is running in Workbench and Windows Services (See img "Server Status")
    6) Checked the connection in Workbench --> Failed (See img "Failed Connection")

After having started CiteSpace, i clicked the tab Data --> Imort/Export. At this stage, I've already seperately encountered multiple error messages in the cmd-Window such as (timezone Error, Communications link failure and Access denied). I guess this results from the error shown in Step 6 mentioned above?

Since i've never used MySQL previously, i couldn't figure out a solution by myself. Hence, I'd appreciate your support or recommend creating a step-by-step tutorial on how to connect CiteSpace to MySQL for other citespace users.

Thanks again for investing your time in the creation of this helpful tool!

    Best regards,
    Tobias

As shown in your screenshot, you didn't setup MySQL properly so even the Workbench cannot connect to MySQL (at this point it has nothing to do with CiteSpace). You may check this video and see if you can fix the problem:
