In the cluster explorer section, we can see top active citers and their coverage . I wanted to know more about it but didn't find any article which clearly explains. The coverage value is it quantity that the citers cited references of that particular cluster? and is the coverage value in % in the new version of citespace?
Correct, the coverage value is the number of references in the cluster that the citing article cited. In your example, among all the references cited by Gordon, 17 belong to the cluster. This information may be useful for you to consider the extent to which Gordon's paper is responsible for the formation of the cluster, and how it compares with other papers, such as Carter's paper, which has a coverage of 12. All the corresponding citing papers of a cluster collectively provide 100% coverage of the cluster. In other words, they hold the key to the question on what the cluster is really about.
The value is the actual account in the current version. It was % in previous versions.
