I kindly ask you to elaborate a bit the procedure around merging PubMed abstracts with a CiteSpace. I have manually downloaded about 10,000 records from Dimensions and converted them to WOS like format in CiteSpace. The importing process to MySQL database goes smoothly. I have manually checked a few records and all of them have PM tag assigned. However, when I click on “A: Database+PubMed” button, I get the following output:
Should I also need to prepare PubMed XML files with corresponding PMIDs or is CiteSpace able to automatically download records from PubMed service through PubMed API (eutils)?
Thanks for your time and help.
Best, Andrej

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
You can search with a query on PubMed directly from CiteSpace (from the Main interface, use the PubMed tab), but the records obtained this way do not have cited references.
Download from Dimensions and enrich with PubMed is what that button is supposed to do. Let me check this and get back to you.
