Selecting Window->Zoom only seems to make my window slightly bigger. Continuing to select it makes it maximized (taking up all the space on the screen). After that, selecting it does nothing. I'm using version 2.1.4 on Linux. It seems like the Zoom menu option should change what Project->Options->Canvas calls "Zoom Factor," not simply how big the window is on the screen. Furthermore, if there is anything called "Zoom," there should probably be a distinction between "Zoom In" and "Zoom Out," with a distinction between the two. A '+' and '-' keybinding for them would be nice, too.

The Window > Zoom menu item is there primarily because the MacOS menu
guidelines say it ought to be there, doing roughly what it's currently
doing, even if it does seem pointless. Your point is well-taken, though:
It should probably be called Maximize on non-MacOS systems... and it
should probably do a more genuine Maximize for the main window.

Also, making Zoom In and Zoom Out more easily available, perhaps by
placing them into either the Edit or Project menu, isn't a bad idea.
It's clear that others find this feature more useful than I do, so
I can see how they might want easier and more flexible access.

'Zooming' while panning aound would be very, very cool. Perhaps bound to the mouse scroll wheel....

Implemented, to appear in 2.2.0, which should be released on or around May 19. To accomplish it, I added a small component in the lower-left corner of the window that allows the zoom factor to change. I am choosing not to act on the suggestion of employing the mouse wheel for zooming, since that's arguably useful for scrolling up and down within a circuit.
