When we place two components superposing, program decides which of them in front and which behind using random. To trigger new random redeciding you can move component or reopen file. Components could be registers, LEDs, subcircuits, etc. Wires are always behind, however. It doesn't care for most types of components because sane engineer will not place two components superposing, but I think it's important for LEDs because sometimes it's useful to place some components behind LEDs (for example, when creating big LED matrix using lots of 32x32 matrices. Also, any random behavior of program is always unexpected.
