Hi. Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! After much noodling around in the debugger and a rewrite of the tile cache, I have solved our critical tile cache memory error. Yee-hah! Cause was disposed drawable surfaces failing to notify the tile cache when freeing their tiles. This design defect seems to have been in the code from the beginning, and explains crashes when applying filters from plug-ins. One scenario that would consistently generate a crash was to open a new image, paint a few random brush strokes, apply blur, apply mblur, and POOF! In testing my changes this afternoon, I can't crash CinePaint. I am back on the task of finishing our Linux automake overhaul, the last step before release of a unified Windows/Linux CinePaint 0.17.
