I am wondering if there is a C interface to access the CIL library
(for those of us who aren't familiar with OCaml). I saw some comments
about this in various places but am not sure if it was ever
implemented. Does anyone know?

Now that I know of... I do have a C frontend in C that you might find
useful if you want to write C analysis code in C. It has some
advantages and some drawbacks over CIL. If you're interested, let me
know - I'd need to do a bit of work to extract the most up-to-date
version from the C extension (http://sf.net/projects/nescc) in which
David Gay, whose hacked on too many C frontends...
