Common Image Generator Interface (CIGI) / News: Recent posts

The ICD (Interface Control Document) for CIGI version 3 has been finalized and is now available from the 'CIGI Specification' section on the web site: http://cigi.sourceforge.net/specification.html.

Boeing will have a CIGI informational exhibit at this year's I/ITSEC 2003 (http://www.iitsec.org/) conference December 1-4 in Orlando, Florida.

The National Defense Industrial Association (NTSA) has awarded CIGI the Modeling and Sumulation (M&S) award for 2002 in the cross-functional category: http://www.trainingsystems.org/msawards_2002.cfm.

Discussions about standardizing CIGI were conducted by a study group at the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) 2003 fall workshop in Orlando, FL during the week of September 14-19, 2003. The presentation for the upcoming CIGI 3.0 from the IMAGE conference in July 2003 is now available online in the Overview / Presentations section of the CIGI web site.

The CIGI API source for version 2.6 has been updated (to version 2.6a) on the downloads page, and now includes all of the samples discussed in the documentation.

Boeing will be giving a presentation of the work to date on the next version of the Common Image Generator Interface. This presentation will be given at the upcoming IMAGE conference on July 17th in the PC Simulation SIG. Afterwards, an open discussion period will be available to elicit input on these changes.
