I would prefer that you submit a support request with SourceForge to
copy (not move) the RCS file for CHANGELOG to ChangeLog. That way we
preserve the CVS history.

I started looking at your changes on Friday. After I finish the binary
SSI release, I'll look at it some more and get back to you.
