A sacramental register is a means by which sacraments performed are recorded for posterity sake. For example - baptisms, weddings, and deaths. Some also record confirmations and first communions.
There is a lot of information which needs to be recorded for sacraments, but they could easily fit onto a separate page for individuals (like a page 2 or just simply - sacraments)
At the moment I have to maintain such things in a written register. I know we can add custom personal fields, and I may try to play with that a bit, but there are so many fields that I thought it might be nice to have them all on a special page for sacraments for the individuals.
Baptism
Name of person baptized
Place & Date of birth (this is usually already in the person's information, but if not is needed for baptismal records)
Place & Date of baptism
Father's name
Mother's Maiden name
Sponsors (usually 2)
Who performed the baptism (usually pastor or associates, but in some denominations can be anyone).
Marriage
Names of spouse
Place and Date
Who officiated the marriage
Names of official witnesses (2)
Deaths - usually the most simple
Place and Date of death
Thanks so much and please do consider putting up a way for us to buy you a cuppa coffee or some other way to help support your wonderful efforts.
Sincerely,
Ken Nelan
This feature would be immensely useful! Currently my parish pays ~$30/mo for a system to manage sacramental records, and we would love to switch to ChurchInfo!
