Welcome the wiki!

What's new:

The test utility Test SSLfix has been updated. The new version fixes a bug that would provide false negative reports on some devices: if you got a negative report from the test, running it again with the updated version may give a different result.

Moreover a new version of the test provides a more immediate feedback by showing messages directly on the Chumby.
This version is especially useful for those users who don't find the install.log on the key after the test has completed.

More details at [Test SSLfix]

Thanks to the effort of Chumby forum user Chankla, the Chumby 8 (and Insignia 8 with Chumby 8 software) turn out to be compatible with the fix.
The Sony Dash however is not, at least for the time being.

Release 3.0 has been updated with a universal version. The pompous name means it has not been optimized for the Chumby One and is more likely to work on other Chumbies.
Still since it has only been tested on the Chumby One itself, there's no guarantee it will actually work.
Find the zip SSL-Fix-V3uni.zip here.

If you can provide some feedback feel free to do it either here (in the forum section) or in the thread at the Chumby forum ( http://forum.chumby.com/viewtopic.php?id=9904 )

There's a a tool to verify whether the target device is compatible with SSL-fix. This is intended for the other models of the Chumby (other that the One). More details at [Test SSLfix].
Note: The test program has been re-uploaded as a file name had to be corrected.
