Hi, there ... I am new to this mailing, so please pardon me if my inquiry is too elementary. Anyway, I would like to know if the procedure listed in the FAQ would also work for AIX 5.3 and if there's any additional step that I need to do for this to work on AIX? I actually tried to use the procedure on AIX 5.3 but when I tested the login part - I am getting this message from the sshd debug mode => "Couldn't chroot to user's directory /home/jail". I did the "chroot /home/jail/home /bin/sh" test and it seems to be working for me - as shown below: root@nadcx819#: pwd /home/jail/home root@nadcx819#: which chroot /usr/bin/chroot root@nadcx819#: chroot /home/jail/home /bin/sh root@nadcx819#: pwd / root@nadcx819#: ls -l total 16 -rw------- 1 0 0 138 Feb 23 16:53 .sh_history_emanalo drwxr-xr-x 2 0 0 4096 Feb 23 16:20 bin drwxr-xr-x 2 0 0 256 Feb 23 14:52 dev drwxr-xr-x 2 0 0 256 Feb 23 14:49 etc drwxrwxrwx 2 223 204 256 Feb 23 16:16 jailusr drwxr-xr-x 2 0 0 256 Feb 23 14:58 lib lrwxrwxrwx 1 0 0 31 Feb 23 16:04 unix -> /home/jail/home/usr/lib/unix_64 drwxr-xr-x 3 0 0 256 Feb 23 14:49 usr root@nadcx819#: If you have tested this on AIX, can you please point me to the right direction. I must have missed a step along the way. Thank so much for your help on this regard. Sincrely, Edwin Manalo. (:-D __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
