Make sure you have included sftp-server in your chroot /usr/bin =
directory (or whereever it is expected to be).

My chroot jail works great when my user connects via SSH but when that =
user connects via sftp and enters their password they immediately get =
disconnected.  I set the SSH logs to DEBUG and all I see is that the =
password is accepted.

I have double checked that I have copied all the libraries over.  It =
seems that it is something to do with the way the home directory is =
setup.
