Hi, I am trying to set things up so that I can allow a user to login via SSH = but be restricted to their home directory. I have created a chroot = environment in /home/nomad (by placing the required folders and files in = there) and I can now do "chroot /home/nomad" and things will work as = expected. I have changed the home of the user to /home/nomad/./ The problem is that when I log in as the user, either on the machine = itself or through ssh, the user does not become automatically chrooted. = Ie. the user can still cd out of the /home/user. I followed the instructions on this site (and am using a patched version = of ssh) and I can't see anything that I have missed. Any ideas as to what I could have missed? I was under the impression = that it was the "/home/nomad/./" setting for the user's home that = defined the fact that the user should be chrooted and that it would = either work or throw up an error (if something wasn't right.) Just now = it just seems to be ignoring the /./ in the user's home directory = setting. I am running RH9 Thanks=20 --- Michael Christie This message has been certified Virus Free.
