I suspect that I recorded my demos using "Random respawn" on Vanilla and stdout.txt says "random: 0" when I play them on Choco.

There are more details about this bug here:

Need additional information, ie. where the players should have spawned versus where they do spawn.

Oh. Strife does not record -random in demos. If you recorded a demo with -random, you need to provide -random when playing it back as well. See if that doesn't resolve the problem.

My demos play correctly on Vanilla. They just desynch on Chocolate-Strife. Adding "-random" doesn't help. This parameter doesn't have any effect and I don't need it on Vanilla to play my demos correctly.

On Vanilla, players spawn at the correct place. Player 1 spawns in the town hall in the mansion of governor Mourel. Player 2 spawns in front of the power facility.

Chocolate-Strife: Player 1 spawns beside the sewers' entrance. Player 2 spawns in front of the prison.
