I am trying to use Creole on Mandrake linux at work,
but it did not work out.

It will be nice to make it work on all major linux
distributions.

Yes, it would be nice, but unfortunately this is out of our
hands. This is up to the eclipse team and the java team to
make a bridge between swt and swing. We have had success
with using Java 1.5 and Debian Linux.
