We are proud to announce that version 1.0 of Chipmark, a centralized GPL bookmarking system, has been released. This release includes the Web service, Firefox extension, and Internet Explorer toolbar. To see what changes we've made, visit https://www.chipmark.com/ Chipmark allows users to take their bookmarks with them wherever they go, through the use of the Chipmark website and browser extensions. Because a user's Chipmarks are stored on a central server, they can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Any confidential information will be kept safe; Chipmark uses 128-bit SSL encryption. Chipmark allows users to accomplish many of the same tasks that their browser's bookmarking system does but with some added benefits. In addition to having access to their favorite websites from any computer, users can take advantage of Chipmark's searching capabilities to search through all of the Chipmarks in the system or just their own. The Firefox extension mimics much of Firefox's Bookmarks menu, but with some added functionality. Users can view the Top Ten Chipmarks and the Most Recently Added Chipmarks right from their toolbar. In addition to supporting organization by folder, Chipmarks can also be sorted by label, much like GMail's labeling system. Users can also access the majority of the Chipmark website's functions, like Import, Export, and Manage right from the Chipmark Options menu. The Internet Explorer toolbar allows IE users to access the main functionality of the Chipmark website from their browser's toolbar, and features quick access to many of the website-only features. For a full write-up of the features in the Chipmark website, the Firefox extension, and the Internet Explorer toolbar, visit http://www.chipmark.com/Main?target=features Users can try out Chipmark by signing up using the Firefox extension or at http://www.chipmark.com/.
