Let me add that I blog with Wordpress and the more I blog with it, the more annoyed I get and the more I think "I'm going to look into switching to something else *because I hate this*". Why? I find their editing area (the actual text box where you enter your blog content) to be *maddeningly* inconsistent with formatting. I've worked with this on 3 blogs and do not see any lasting results from setting the default setting to "code view" (or "design view" for that matter). It seems to whimsically reformat valid (x)html as it pleases, even in so-called "code view". And I've tried a lot of things here, so I'm not saying this from one bad experience. I don't know if movabletype is better, but I do know that I'm going to check it out as an alternative. I also have a friend who blogs w/drupal (hence my original post) who seems quite happy with it.
